These Terms govern your use of stackttek.com and any Stackt service that expressly incorporates them. By using a covered service, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer right or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under Nigerian law.
1. About Stackt
Stackt is a money management technology product operated by Stackt Technologies Limited. Its tools are designed to help users organise money information, recurring expenses, savings, debts and spending and to derive a Safe to Spend view.
2. Stackt is not a bank or financial adviser
Unless Stackt expressly states otherwise for a future regulated service, Stackt does not hold deposits, provide banking services, lend money, execute investments or provide personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Safe to Spend and similar outputs are informational money management tools based on the information available to the product and its stated rules.
3. Accuracy of information
When you enter information into Stackt, you are responsible for keeping it reasonably accurate and current. Incorrect or incomplete balances, expenses, debts, savings or transactions can make product outputs inaccurate. Important financial decisions should be checked against your actual accounts, obligations and circumstances.
4. Local storage and passcode
The current Stackt PWA does not create a Stackt cloud account. Your PWA information is stored primarily in your browser on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any backup you export. The optional four-digit passcode is a local convenience designed to reduce casual access to the PWA; it does not encrypt your locally stored information and is not equivalent to a bank security credential.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Stackt unlawfully, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, materially disrupt the service, impersonate another person, or use Stackt to infringe another person's rights.
6. Current PWA and product changes
The current PWA is an early version of Stackt. Features may be improved, changed or withdrawn as the product develops. Stackt may issue updated versions, and an older installed version may not contain the latest features, fixes or legal notices. We will not present an experimental feature as a guaranteed or regulated service where it is not one.
7. Intellectual property
The Stackt name, logo, brand assets, product designs, software, copy and other proprietary materials belong to Stackt Technologies Limited or its licensors. These Terms give you a limited right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of Stackt intellectual property.
8. Information you enter
You retain any rights you have in information you enter. In the current PWA, most profile and financial information is processed locally in your browser and is not routinely transmitted to Stackt. Where you separately submit information to Stackt, for example through the waitlist, contact channels or feedback, you permit Stackt to process that information for the relevant purpose in accordance with the Privacy Notice.
9. Third party and browser services
Stackt uses third party infrastructure, including Cloudflare for the public website and first party early access form processing. The PWA may also use browser or device capabilities such as speech recognition and may request web fonts from Google Fonts. Third-party terms and privacy practices may apply to those services. Nothing in this clause removes rights that applicable law gives you against Stackt.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Stackt reliable but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, improve, replace or discontinue features. Where a change materially affects an active paid service or a legal right, we will provide notice where required.
11. Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Stackt is not responsible for loss caused solely by inaccurate information supplied by a user, a decision made without checking relevant real world information, or an event outside Stackt's reasonable control. This does not exclude liability that Nigerian law does not permit Stackt to exclude and does not waive statutory consumer rights.
12. Ending use and deleting local data
You may stop using Stackt at any time. The current PWA includes controls to reset locally stored app data, and browser storage can also be cleared through your browser or device settings. Deleting local PWA data does not automatically delete information you separately submitted to Stackt through the waitlist, contact channels or feedback. You may exercise applicable rights over information Stackt holds through the Data Rights page.
13. Complaints and disputes
Please contact Stackt first so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nothing here prevents a consumer from using a regulator, tribunal, court or complaint process available under applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated appropriately. The effective date above identifies the current version.
